Introducing our Specialist Hand Surgeon, Dr. Chee Kin Ghee, specializing in arthritis, elbow, hand joint replacement, hand & wrist injuries, soft tissue reconstruction, tumors, and wrist arthroscopy.

Dr Chee has more than 16 years of clinical experience in hand and orthopaedic surgery. After obtaining his specialist qualification in hand surgery, he was awarded 1-year fellowship (HMDP by MOH) to world-renowned Wrightington Hospital Upper Limb Unit in the United Kingdom. Wrightington Hospital is the pioneer hospital for Joint Replacement Surgery and was recently ranked Top Orthopaedic Hospital in the UK and world.

In addition to common bony, soft tissue, and nerve conditions of the upper limb, Dr. Chee’s subspecialty and interest are in Hand & Wrist arthroplasty and arthroscopy which include joint replacement and reconstruction. He is trained in prosthetic and soft tissue joint reconstruction and replacement, as well as minimally invasive hand and wrist ligamentous injuries treatment.

Dr Ambrose Yung Wai Yin is an experienced Specialist Orthopaedic Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the field of orthopaedics. His area of interest extends includes complex operations such as revision knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement and primary total knee replacement. His area of expertise also extends to minimally invasive shoulder, ankle and knee surgery as well as reconstruction of the upper and lower limbs.

Dr Ambrose Yung had travelled to Oxford University Hospital in the UK after being awarded a 1-year fellowship and trained at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hip Centre & Knee Division. During this period, he was at the forefront of technology by learning the latest in computer guided navigational partial and total knee replacement.

Dr. Ambrose Yung volunteered his medical services during the SARS epidemic in 2003, and was conferred a Merit Certificate of Honour by the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong. In Singapore , he was also involved in providing medical relief to the victims of the Indonesian earthquake in 2006. For this contribution, he was awarded the Minister for Health Award in Singapore.

On the academic front, Dr Ambrose Yung Wai Yin actively participates in nurturing and inspiring the next generation of doctors. He was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Clinical Physician Faculty, Singhealth Residency.

Dr Low Mun Hon has over 20 years of experience managing trauma and orthopaedic clinical care. Prior to this, he has been in private practise as an orthopaedic practitioner at Singapore Sports & Orthopaedic Clinic (SSOC).

Dr. Low graduated from Monash University Medical School (Melbourne). Thereafter, he pursued his internship at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He subsequently continued his practice of medicine at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). During this period, he was awarded the membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons at Glasgow in 2008 & Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery (National University of Singapore) in the same year.

Dr Low had previously worked as an orthopaedic trainee at various local teaching hospitals i.e. Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KK Hospital) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

He was an ex-Malaysian national swimmer & is currently an avid badminton player who participates and enjoys sparring with players such as Boonsak Ponsana (ex Olympic Silver Medalist) in international tournaments. He enjoys sports such as triathlon, running and tennis.

Dr. Edwin Tan is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and adult reconstruction surgery, with particular expertise in upper limb conditions. Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS and subsequently an M.Med (Orthopaedic Surgery) degree, before going on to attain Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). 

Dr Tan has garnered years of experience working in numerous public hospitals across Singapore, attaining both the MOH Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award and the Service with a Smile Award in 2015. Dr Tan actively participates in overseas orthopaedic conferences, is involved in medical research, and has published in reputable medical journals.

Dr Tan is committed to excellence in orthopaedic care and employs the most current arthroscopic and open surgical techniques to manage a wide spectrum of sports-related injuries and other orthopaedic conditions. From recreational athletes to national representatives (both local and abroad), his dedicated management has helped them return to an optimal level of health and performance. 

Compassionate and competent care of patients forms the core of his practice, and he brings this belief with him whilst performing surgeries in frequent mission trips.
