Dr Pearllyn Quek graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1988 and was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in February 1994. She was one of two females in Singapore to be first accredited a specialist in Urology in 2001. She further trained with Professor Chris Chapple in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK, subspecialising in lower urinary tract disorders, urodynamics and reconstructive urology. She underwent a clinical fellowship in the world reknowned Institute of Nephrology and Urology, Mansoura, Egypt, receiving advanced training in bladder cancer surgery and neobladders.

A recognised expert in voiding disorders, she has authored book chapters, review articles and award winning papers on the subject. She is frequently invited to speak and conduct workshops both locally and internationally on the treatment of stress incontinence, urodynamics and bladder disorders.

Dr Pearllyn Quek has been in the EXCO of the Singapore Urological Association on several occasions and was the organising chairman for both the SUA Urology Fair 2005 and the 18th Video Urology World Congress 2007 in Singapore. She is very much involved in undergraduate and postgraduate surgical education and research and is a Clinical Lecturer with the National University of Singapore. Her current clinical interests include nocturia, the use of Botox in urology and voiding disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. She continues to review articles for European Urology and the British Journal of Urology among others.
