Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Wang graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where he was a federal scholar. He completed his Masters of Science degree while preparing to start surgical training in North America. He completed General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, and is certified in both specialties by the American Board of Surgery. He emigrated to the United States of America and practiced academic surgery, continuing his keen interest in translational research and resident/fellow education. He was Attending Vascular Surgeon at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, Assistant Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Associate Program Director of Vascular Surgery Fellowship, and Program Director of Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency.
Dr. Wang was also Principal and Co-Investigator for numerous national and international clinical trials and studies. He joined Singapore General Hospital in 2014 and is Core-faculty for SingHealth Surgery Residency.
His interests and expertise include: extra-cranial carotid disease, supra-aortic trunk pathology and reconstruction, thoracic aneurysms and dissections, abdominal aortic aneurysmal and occlusive disease, infra-inguinal occlusive disease, diabetic foot management, ilio-caval venous reconstruction, superficial and deep venous insufficiency, hemodialysis access, and vascular ultrasonography.
